David Lyman, Principal
David Lyman is one of the most trusted and respected executive recruiters in the Twin Cities. David’s 26+ year career in search includes leadership roles at both international and boutique firms. Beginning at Russell Reynolds Associates, David then co-founded Schall Lyman & Company. David then led the Minneapolis office of Korn Ferry International before leaving to co-create LymanDoran, which grew to become the third largest executive search firm in the Twin Cities.* David received his MBA from The Stern School of Business at New York University and his BA from Bowdoin College. He is a past president of the Minneapolis City of Lakes Rotary Club and former board member of the Alzheimer’s Association of Minnesota-North Dakota. David actively serves on the Board of Trustees for the Dunwoody College of Technology. He and his wife have four children and live in Deephaven, Minnesota.

Theresa Michel, Search Consultant
Theresa has a history of leading successful C-suite assignments across a spectrum of industries for private equity- and family/founder-owned companies. Her background includes a broad range of search experience with 12 years spent at top boutique firms and Korn/Ferry International. Theresa also spent 5 years as the inaugural in-house executive search leader for a rapidly growing public company. She has a BA in Political Science from The University of St. Thomas and a JD from William Mitchell College of Law. She and her husband have two young children and live in St. Paul, Minnesota.
Kayla Bauer, Intern
Kayla is a third-year student at the University of St. Thomas pursuing a bachelor's degree in psychology with a minor in strategic communications. She has taken courses in psychological testing, social psychology, strategic communications, and various other courses in order to prepare her for this internship at Lyman Executive Search. She is passionate about helping people succeed in their careers and using psychology as a tool to connect people with meaningful careers. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family and trying new restaurants in the Twin Cities.
Heidi Westlind, Search Consultant
Heidi has a successful track record of leading C-level and board search projects over many years. Prior to her career in executive search, she spent 15 years at International Decision Systems in global leadership positions before her promotion to Chief Marketing Officer. Following that, she spent 10 years at Vander Zanden, Inc. where she specialized in client relations and development for this boutique communications coaching firm. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Management with an emphasis in Marketing from the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management. Heidi lives with her husband and their four children in Deephaven, Minnesota.
